As Rav Sadyah Gaon (882-942). Greatest scholar of the Gaonic period; as head of the yeshiva in Pumbedita, was the leader of world Jewry. tells us, "Our Nation is not a Nation except through Torah".
Shema Dallas (www.shemadallas.org) welcomed this week five yeshiva students from the Rabbinical Academy Chaim Berlin in Brooklyn, New York. The young men are spending their summer recess time teaching, mentoring and just interacting with people of all ages and all walks of life sharing their passion for the Jewish life, specifically focusing on young adults and the impact of them being here is difficult to measure. We invite you to partake in the great mitzvah of supporting their stay here.

Shema’s mission is to reignite passion for Judaism in the heart of every Jew. By establishing an infrastructure of constant involvement in Torah study, participation in the celebration of the Sabbath and Holidays, and creating community events that reinforce Jewish identity and pride, Shema is reaching out to the full spectrum of Jewry in the Dallas Metroplex, of every age and walk of life. Every Jew is respected for who they are and is assisted in conducting their quest at his or her own pace. Our ultimate hope is to see every participant in our programs reconnect with his or her Jewish heritage, and proudly enjoy the richness and the happiness of a fully embodied Jewish life.
